Working over the past 8 years, I have steadily progressed into a design role in many engineering applications. Coming from a fabrication background has helped tremendously with my engineering work, and I absolutely love it.

My experience with GDE has opened my eyes to the vast opportunities in heavy vehicle engineering. Now, I am ready for the next chapter in my career.​

Receiving the Geoff Walsh Memorial Scholarship has been an incredible opportunity for me. It has allowed me to pay for my course fees at Open Polytechnic, where I am currently working my way through the program.

The scholarship has enabled me to apply technical knowledge practically, develop critical thinking, and enhance my communication abilities. I am gaining a deeper understanding of management principles, information technology, and contemporary engineering issues.

Moreover, it has raised my awareness of social, ethical, and environmental considerations and taught me to work safely in various engineering environments. This experience has motivated me for continuous learning and professional development.

Working alongside talented people at GDE, who have a lot to offer, has further inspired me to strive forward. Looking ahead, my goal is to specialize in engineering for heavy vehicles and contribute positively to our local community and beyond.​
